Not a book that one sees often, but famous in its own right.
A dazzling and provocative cover, and much promise, but I was disappointed. The
book is splashed together and once you open it the type setting is in different
styles and the documents and writing are not put together in a very cohesive or
welcoming manner. But what about it? Does it matter where you play if you can
skate like the wind? Meaning, does it matter what the physicality of the book
appears and feels like if the writing and/or content is stellar? No, but here
the content fails to satisfy. Though I admire the spirit of someone who
dedicated his life to questioning the powers that be, I felt more like I was
reading someone who for everything is conspiratorial, dark. I think even Cooper
knew there was a problem possibly that way. He wrote, and this shows integrity,
near the beginning, that the information is sound as much as he knows, but it
may in part prove to be incorrect in parts. I do wish more people would say
such things. But all in all, though this is a book I wanted to like, it’s not
one I could. So a ten for spirit and a ten for a cover, but a five overall for
a sloppy ‘put together’ that is unwelcoming, and a content that might have some
points here or there, but is a bit over the top unless you are of the hard core
conspiracy set.
RATING 5/10
